On April 19, 2017, Catella Fondförvaltning AB received permission from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority to change the fund's name, Catella Reavinstfond, to Catella Sverige Aktiv Hållbarhet, and change fund regulations to reflect and clarify the fund's investment direction towards sustainable investments/companies.
"The basis of our investment philosophy and process lies in the belief in a connection between a sustainable business model and the stamina of the company's profitability and growth. We seek long-term good returns by actively including the sustainability criteria in our selection process, thus finding companies whose long-term profitability and competitiveness are underestimated by the market".
In 2009, Catella signed the UN's sustainable investment principles and since then has increased focus on sustainability issues in all our funds. Now we take yet another step in Catella Reavinstfond. The fund was started in 1998 with the ambition of providing a long-term return that exceeds the general stock exchange (SIX RX). Since its inception, the fund has generated over 9.72 per cent in average annual return as of March 31, 2017. We are now implementing changes aimed at developing the fund, with the ambition of increasing the return for our clients. Since the autumn of 2016, the fund has been managed by a new and expanded team consisting of three experienced fund managers: Anna Strömberg, Henrik Holmer and Henrik Gripenvik. The investment direction will be partially modified by giving sustainability criteria a clearer position next to financial analysis in the investment process.
