Teknikmagasinet has been sold to the private equity firm Segulah. Catella's M&A team serving the consumer sector was exclusive financial advisor to the sellers on the divestment.
Jannis Östlund and Urban Printz (founders and majority owners) will remain minority owners in a partnership with Segulah going forward.
Teknikmagasinet is a leading Nordic retailer with a wide assortment of value for money, high-tech gadget and hobby products. Teknikmagasinet was founded in 1989, and the management team has successfully been growing the Company by increasing the product assortment and expanding the store network throughout Sweden, Norway and Finland. Currently, Teknikmagasinet has 119 stores and approx. 400 employees. In the fiscal year ending April 2015, sales amounted to approx. MSEK 900.
