Catella is commited to fight against Alzheimer's disease through the Foundation Philippe Chatrier

Under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Foundation Philippe Chatrier aims to raise funds for medical research.

Thus, in order to fight against this disease, the foundation coordinates various clinical research.Professor Joel Ankri and his team of specialists conducted a first series of works through modern techniques such as brain imaging and functional MRI coupled with neuropsychological tests. They also developed tests based on virtual reality and biomarkers.

The research develops on several axes:

- Medico-social, to improve the patient's life and his entourage;

- Scientist, on the mechanisms of the disease, using the full range of modern technology;

- Therapeutics, (fight against the development of brain abnormalities, fight against chronic inflammation observed in the brain during the progression of the disease, encourage the regeneration of synapses and neurons).

The Foundation decided to focus its efforts on supporting research by creating 2-3 fellowships per year which allow researchers to continue their work in laboratories in France or abroad.

Catella is supporting the Foundation through donations but also through its participation in organized sporting events (golf and tennis tournaments) whose profits collected go to the foundation to advance medical research on the disease.
