Catella has acted as sole financial advisor to Post Danmark, part of PostNord, owned jointly by the Danish and Swedish Government, in the disposal of this unique and substantial CBD redevelopment project of more than 160,000 sq.m. at Copenhagen’s most central location – creating a whole new city business district including offices, hotels, residential and retail. The project comprises some EUR 600 million.
Summarized extract from PostNords's press release:
PostNord divests real estate property in central Copenhagen
PostNord divests the real estate property in central Copenhagen where its Danish headquarter and mail terminal are located to Danica Pension for 925 MDKK.
The deal will take effect on June 30, 2015. PostNord will thereafter sublease required office and logistics space until 2018, but gradually move to premises that are more optimal for future operations.
”We are very satisfied to have signed a deal with Danica Pension that has the vision to develop the property and create a new city district. For PostNord this will increase our capital efficiency and thereby our possibility to become more flexible in the rapidly changing market. We are now intensifying our work to find better suited premises for our operations”, says Håkan Ericsson, President and Group CEO.
Catella Corporate Finance acted as exclusive financial advisor to Post Danmark.
